Agreement to Terms
By accessing our website at norvandel.com or using our cleaning services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using our services.
Services Description
Norvandel provides professional eco-friendly carpet and upholstery cleaning services including but not limited to:
- Residential carpet cleaning
- Upholstery and furniture cleaning
- Vehicle interior cleaning
- Commercial cleaning services
- Stain and odour removal
- Fabric protection treatments
Service descriptions on our website are general in nature. Specific services will be confirmed in your quote and service agreement.
Booking and Quotes
Quotes
All quotes provided are estimates based on the information you provide. Final pricing may vary if actual conditions differ from what was described. We reserve the right to adjust pricing if additional work is required.
Booking Confirmation
A booking is confirmed only when you receive written confirmation from us via email or phone. We reserve the right to refuse service at our discretion.
Cancellation Policy
You may cancel or reschedule your appointment with at least 24 hours notice without penalty. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee up to 50% of the quoted service price.
Service Delivery
Access to Property
You are responsible for providing access to the property and areas requiring cleaning at the scheduled time. If access cannot be gained, this may be treated as a late cancellation.
Preparation
You should remove fragile or valuable items from areas to be cleaned. We will move light furniture but are not responsible for moving heavy items unless specifically agreed.
Service Timing
We aim to arrive within the scheduled time window. Delays may occasionally occur due to factors beyond our control. We will notify you as soon as possible of any significant delays.
Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of services unless alternative arrangements have been made in advance. We accept payment by cash, bank transfer, or card (where available).
For commercial clients, payment terms of 14 days may be available subject to approval and agreement.
Late payments may incur interest charges in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
Limitations and Disclaimers
Results Disclaimer
While we use professional methods and eco-friendly products to achieve optimal results, we cannot guarantee the complete removal of all stains or odours. Some stains may be permanent due to their nature, age, or previous treatment attempts. We will always advise you honestly about expected results.
Fabric and Material Damage
We take great care when cleaning your carpets and upholstery. However, some fabrics may be inherently delicate or may have been damaged by previous treatments. We will conduct pre-cleaning tests where possible, but we cannot be held liable for:
- Pre-existing damage or wear
- Colour bleeding or fading due to poor dye quality
- Shrinkage of natural fibres
- Damage from previous cleaning attempts
- Material defects or poor manufacturing
Drying Times
Drying times vary depending on factors including fabric type, weather, ventilation, and humidity. We provide estimated drying times but cannot be held responsible for longer drying periods or any consequential issues.
Liability
We carry public liability insurance for your protection. Our liability is limited as follows:
- We are not liable for damage to items you did not disclose or that were not visible during our assessment
- Our maximum liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the service in question or £1,000, whichever is lower
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses
- Claims must be made in writing within 7 days of service completion
Intellectual Property
The content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Norvandel and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
Customer Conduct
We expect customers to treat our staff with respect and provide a safe working environment. We reserve the right to refuse service or cease work if:
- Our staff are subjected to abusive or threatening behaviour
- The working environment is unsafe
- Access to necessary facilities (water, electricity) is not provided
- You have previously failed to pay for services
Health and Safety
While our eco-friendly cleaning products are safe, you should:
- Keep children and pets away from areas being cleaned during service
- Ensure adequate ventilation during and after cleaning
- Follow any specific aftercare instructions provided
- Inform us of any known allergies or sensitivities
Data Protection
We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws. By using our services, you consent to such processing.
Complaints Procedure
If you are not satisfied with our service:
- Contact us within 7 days of service completion
- Provide details of your concerns with photographs if applicable
- We will investigate and respond within 14 days
- If needed, we will arrange to re-clean the area at no additional charge
Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, equipment failure, or government restrictions.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
Entire Agreement
These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy and any service agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and Norvandel regarding our services.
